Key Responsibilties

  • Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines with seamless integration with Kubernetes deployments.

  • Orchestrate and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes/OpenShift, optimizing performance and scalability for telecom workloads.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and implement best practices for CI/CD, containerization, and telecom-specific deployments.

  • Deploy, manage, and optimize distributed data and streaming platforms including Apache Druid, Confluent Platform / Apache Kafka, and ScyllaDB
    Manage and optimize image processing and media delivery infrastructure using Thumbor.

  • Utilize Hadoop knowledge to support big data processing and analytics needs relevant to the telecom domain (e.g., network traffic analysis, customer behavior analytics).

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the CI/CD pipeline, Kubernetes clusters, distributed streaming systems, and production environments.

  • Implement observability, logging, and monitoring solutions for high-availability telecom platforms.

  • Champion the adoption and integration of open-source tools within the DevOps ecosystem, particularly those relevant to telecom technologies.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps trends and technologies specific to the telecom industry, constantly innovating and optimizing our processes.

  • Contribute to open-source communities and projects focused on telecom technologies (a plus).

 
Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or related role.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes/OpenShift integration
    In-depth understanding of containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.

  • Strong grasp of CI/CD principles and methodologies.

  • Hands-on expertise with Apache Druid, Confluent Platform / Apache Kafka, ScyllaDB, and Thumbor.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
    Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)

  • Experience working with distributed file systems like HDFS.

  • Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem tools (YARN, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, etc.) is a plus.

  • Experience managing high-throughput streaming and real-time analytics platforms.

  • Working knowledge of telecom technologies, protocols, and infrastructure is a plus.

  • Experience contributing to open-source projects, particularly those relevant to telecom, is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
